Gratitude is the feeling of being grateful and thankful. Whenever you express gratitude, it is beneficial for you because it raises your vibration. When you are grateful and happy with your life, you may gain more optimism and attract positivity into your life.
Here are some ways that I show Gratitude
Gratitude in Prayer
Praying to God or Creator what you are grateful for can be humbling. You can pray when you meditate, go on a walk, and be thankful for all of the things in your life, including hard lessons.
Gratitude Journaling
This one is one of my favorites. I do this with students in my classes. This can be just what it is, and write down a list of things that you are grateful for and reflect if you are being called.
Gratitude With Nature
This may be tied in with praying for me, I call my walks “ meditation walks.” You can also just spend time outdoors in nature, barefoot in the grass. You may go out and connect with the moon. (Especially when she is full) You may connect with the ocean or the mountains. Whenever in nature, breathe! State outloud what you are grateful for, and feel your heart fill up with love and peace.
Gratitude with a Hug
Yes, I am a hugger. Hugging can have many benefits like reducing stress, lowering blood pressure and INCREASES happiness. I will give you hugs of gratitude. XO
Random Acts of Kindness
Have you ever been in line at Dunkin Donuts and had your coffee paid for? I haven’t done this for a long time, so this week I may give a random act of kindness. I just LOVE the domino effect it may have!
Handwritten Notes
I am old school, but I feel that this is becoming more Rare or not as common. Let’s bring back the handwritten notes! Anyone who knows me personally, would already know this about me. Write something to someone on your holiday cards. I used to write post it notes and cards to my teachers in my school to show gratitude and to share how much I appreciated them. You can actually write messages to your partner or spouse. I wrote a list of 100 things that I was thankful for my husband and gave it to him for Christmas a few years ago. We are truly so blessed when you do this for someone.
Try one this week, or better yet.....Share with me what you do to show Gratitude.
I would love to hear about it and maybe try it myself.
Have a grateful Thanksgiving week.
Kristie
